The meeting was called to order by (Charles) Lee Strait.

New Business:
The Board of Trustees held a discussion on the hourly wage for the incoming Director of Library Services. Director Moore gave the trustees her recommendation that the starting hourly wage for the new Director of Library Services at $25.25. This wage does not include longevity. She recommends the successful candidate who fills this position should continue to receive said longevity. In addition, the new Director of Library Services should receive a $1.00 an hour increase to $26.25 after completing a successful 6-month probation period and receive the COLA for the next Fiscal Year 2024. During the probation period this position should still be able to utilize Vacation and Sick Leave because they have been with Fallon County and have already completed this part of the process upon previous hire.
The Board of Trustees also discussed the hours for the Director of Library Services. The trustees decided that the hours should stay 8 am – 5 pm with the exception that if all open hours are covered by a staff member the Director of Library Services may work
8 am – 4 pm.
Bruce Johnson moved, and Deb Barth seconded the motion for the new Director Wage Scale, Longevity, COLA, and Leave, and the hours to be worked. All in favor. Motion carried.
