Minutes and Circulation, Service, and Financial Reports:
Deb Barth moved, and Bruce Johnson seconded the motion to approve the minutes from the April meeting. All in favor. Motion carried. Bruce Johnson moved, and Deb Barth seconded the motion to approve the Circulation, Service, and Financial reports for April & May. All in favor. Motion carried.
Unfinished Business:
Director Moore presented the board with various wage updates approved by the Fallon County Commissioners. The Fallon County Library Board of Trustees voted on each of them as follows:
Entry wages for Seasonal Library Aid increase to $13.25 per hour and Library Technician increase to $17.00 per hour. Deb Barth moved, and Bruce Johnson seconded the motion to approve updated entry level wages. All in favor. Motion carried.
The Fallon County Library Board of Trustees also voted to give Kayla James a Market Adjustment increase of $2.00 per hour. Deb Barth moved, and Bruce Johnson seconded the motion to give Kayla James the Market Adjustment increase. All in favor. Motion carried.
The Fallon County Library Board of Trustees also voted on the COLA for Fiscal Year 2023. Bruce Johnson moved, and Deb Barth seconded the motion to give Kayla James, Beth Meggers, and Stacey Moore a $1.38 per hour COLA for Fiscal Year 2023. All in favor. Motion carried.
The Fallon County Library Board of Trustees completed the review of the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget. Deb Barth moved, and Bruce Johnson seconded the motion to approve the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget. All in favor. Motion carried. The Budget will now be presented to the Fallon County Commissioners for approval.
New Business:
Election of Officers for Fiscal Year 2023. Nomination was made to retain Charles Lee Strait as Chair. Deb Barth moved, and Bruce Johnson seconded the motion to retain Charles Lee Strait as Chair. All in favor. Motion carried. Nomination was made to retain Bruce Johnson as Vice-Chair. Deb Barth Moved, Charles Lee Strait seconded the motion to retain Bruce Johnson as Vice-Chair. All in favor. Motion carried.
Director Updates:
Director Moore gave updates on Summer Reading Program, Hotspots, and other happenings at the library. We also received word that we have been given the Town Pump Charitable Foundation Grant to Keep Kids Reading in the amount of $1000.00. We will be using this money to replace well-loved books in the library collection.
Project Updates:
Newspapers are digitized through 2016 and loaded to the Montana Newspapers website. We are waiting for more issues to be filmed and after the Montana Memory Project has moved all content to the new site, we will be adding more years.
Yearbooks are digitized through 2007.
Genealogy project is finished.
